Habituize is a habit-building application designed to help users create daily habits, track progress, reset each day, and use Guide, an accountability coach inside the app, to help with focus, recovery, adjustments, and habit-related questions.

2. What Habituize Does
Habituize lets users create and manage daily habits, check habits off each day, view progress, restore account data, and, for paid users, access Habituize Guide features.
Habituize Guide may use artificial intelligence to help provide habit-related suggestions, next steps, recovery guidance, routine interpretation, and answers to habit-related questions.
Habituize is not a medical, therapy, mental health, financial, legal, or emergency service. Guide is intended to provide general habit-building support only.
3. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information created through your use of the app, subscription-related information, technical information, and limited analytics information.
Account Information
When you create or use an account, we may collect:
- Email address
- Display name or first name
- Authentication identifiers
- Account creation and login information
- Account status
- Legacy account restore status, if applicable
We use this information to create your account, restore your data, sync your habits, personalize your experience, and provide support.
Habit and Routine Information
Habituize collects and stores information related to the habits and routines you create in the app, including:
- Habit names
- Habit icons, colors, or categories
- Active and archived habits
- Habit order
- Completion status
- Completion history
- Dates of completions and missed days
- Streaks
- Current streak and best streak
- Completed days
- Missed days
- Routine progress
- Reset or check-in time preferences
- Focus habit information
- App state related to your routine
This information is used to operate the core Habituize habit system, sync your data, restore your account, calculate progress, and support Guide features.
Onboarding Information
During onboarding, we may collect information such as:

- Preferred reset or check-in time
- Your first name or display name
- Your reason for struggling with habits
- Onboarding progress
- Whether you choose to continue free or start a Guide trial
This information is used to set up your routine, personalize the app experience, route you to the correct onboarding or tour flow, and improve the onboarding experience.
Subscription and Purchase Information
Habituize uses Apple in-app purchases and RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and entitlements.
We may collect or receive subscription-related information such as:
- Whether you have an active Habituize Guide subscription or trial
- Product identifiers
- Entitlement status
- Trial status
- Renewal or expiration information
- Restore purchase status
- Subscription-related error states
We do not receive or store your full payment card information. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store.
Guide and AI-Related Information
Paid Guide features may use AI to generate habit-related guidance.
To provide these features, Habituize may process and send limited habit context to our backend and AI service providers. This may include:
- Habit names
- Completion status
- Completion rates
- Streak information
- Habit progress
- Routine state
- Focus habit status
- Missed-day or recovery context
- First name, when available
- Habit-related questions you type into Ask Guide
- Limited app context needed to generate a Guide response
This information is used only to generate habit-related Guide responses, suggestions, recovery guidance, action plans, or advanced habit interpretation.
Guide is not intended for general-purpose chat. Ask Guide is designed for habit-related questions only.
We do not intentionally send sensitive personal information, payment information, email address, full backup JSON, or unrelated personal details to AI systems. You should not enter sensitive personal information into Ask Guide.
Analytics and Usage Information
We collect limited analytics to understand how users move through the app and where the product can be improved.
Analytics may include events such as:
- App opened
- Onboarding started or completed
- Onboarding step viewed
- Habits selected
- Paywall viewed
- Trial started
- Continue free tapped
- Guide opened
- Ask Guide used
- Trajectory opened
- Habit completed or unchecked

We do not intentionally log habit titles, typed questions, Guide prompts, Guide responses, email addresses, names, Firebase user IDs, backup JSON, or payment details in analytics events.

When you use Habituize, we and our service providers may collect technical information such as:

- App version
- Language or region
- Crash or diagnostic information

- Device identifiers used by service providers

We do not use your habit data to sell advertising.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your personal information to show third-party ads inside Habituize.
5. How Guide Uses Your Information
Guide uses your habit and progress information to provide more relevant support.
For example, Guide may use your information to:
- Suggest what habit to start with
- Recommend a focus habit
- Respond when you complete a habit
- Help you close out the final habit of the day
- Encourage recovery after a missed day
- Suggest simplifying a habit
- Answer habit-related questions
- Interpret your consistency and routine direction
- Generate advanced habit insights
Guide responses may be generated using AI through our backend.
Some Guide responses may also use cached, deterministic, or fallback logic so the app remains usable if AI is unavailable.
6. AI Processing
Habituize may use Google Gemini or other AI services through secure backend infrastructure to generate Guide-related responses.
AI processing may occur when:
- A paid user opens or uses Guide
- A paid user asks Guide a question
- A paid user opens an AI-powered insight page
- A paid user's habit set changes and Guide needs updated coaching context
- A paid user requests habit-related interpretation or recommendations
AI requests are intended to be scoped to habit-building support.
We take steps to limit the information sent to AI systems to what is needed to provide the requested feature.
You should not enter highly sensitive personal information into Guide or Ask Guide.
AI-generated responses may be imperfect. You are responsible for your decisions and actions.
7. When We Share Information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate Habituize.
These providers may include:
Firebase / Google
We use Firebase and Google services for features such as authentication, database storage, cloud functions, analytics, diagnostics, and backend infrastructure.
Firebase may process account, device, usage, analytics, and app data as needed to provide these services.
Google Gemini
We may use Google Gemini through our backend to generate AI-powered Guide responses for paid users.
The information sent is intended to be limited to habit-related context needed to generate the response.
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status, trial status, entitlements, and purchase restoration.
RevenueCat may process subscription and purchase-related identifiers and metadata.
Apple
Apple processes App Store purchases, subscriptions, trial starts, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment information.
We do not receive your full payment card information from Apple.
Other Service Providers
We may use other trusted service providers for hosting, infrastructure, analytics, diagnostics, security, or customer support.
We require service providers to process information only for the purposes of providing services to us and in accordance with applicable agreements.

11. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as needed to provide Habituize, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and improve the service.
Account and habit data may be retained while your account remains active.
Analytics and diagnostic data may be retained for internal analysis and product improvement.
If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or de-identify personal information where required, unless we need to retain certain information for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legitimate business purposes.

You may be able to delete your account from within Habituize.

If you cancel a Guide subscription, Apple manages the cancellation and billing process. Habituize will update access based on subscription entitlement status.
14. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate.
Data protection laws may differ from those in your state, province, or country.
By using Habituize, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in locations outside of your jurisdiction.
15. Children and Age Requirements
Habituize is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Because Habituize Guide uses AI-powered features, Guide and AI-powered features are not directed to users under 18.
If you are under 13, do not use Habituize.
If you are under 18, do not use Habituize Guide or AI-powered features.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

Habituize is designed for habit-building and routine support.
You should not enter highly sensitive information into Habituize, including:

Guide is not a therapist, doctor, lawyer, financial advisor, or emergency service.
17. No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not use your habit data to serve third-party ads.
If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any legally required choices.
